Description
A favorite within our smaller parrot species here at Birds4U, the green cheeked conure is cheeky and playful. Offering a mild and calm temperament, this makes them good with children and a great pet. For a small parrot they have big personalities and are very intelligent and enjoy interaction frequently. Although not great talkers, conure parrots are good at learning tricks. They are the less vocal of other conure species, therefore they make up for this in personality and boldness.
Native to the forests of South America, they are a very active species. Enjoying a variety of perches and toys to keep them stimulated. This in turn prevents them becoming bored easily. As the species ages their color intensity of their plumage increases more so for males. Sporting bright red feathers in their tails and chest, a black crown on their head and olive green patches on their cheeks which is where the green cheeked conure gets its name. Our baby green cheeked conures for sale are aged between 4-5 months old, this makes them the perfect age for bonding and taming.
